Kinetek helps race against hunger in Northern Virginia

Food for Others Mission

FFO's mission is to distribute food to our neighbors in need by mobilizing our giving community and volunteers.

In our nation’s capital area, the high cost of living forces many families who are struggling to make ends meet to choose between spending money for food, or on other basic needs such as housing and healthcare. Since 1995, Food for Others has been helping many of these families.

Food for Others is an important part of Northern Virginia’s safety net for those needing food when an emergency strikes and for the growing number of working poor who need to supplement their inadequate food supplies.

About the Event - Tysons 5K and Fun Run

Although Northern Virginia has a reputation for being wealthy, 1 of every 11 people struggles with food insecurity. The high cost of living in the area makes it difficult for families to manage when there’s an emergency like a job loss or sudden illness. You can make a difference today by supporting Food for Others! With your $35 race registration, you provide 21 families with a gallon of milk, 7 students with weekend meal packs, or 1 family with 3.5 days’ worth of meals.

Kinetek is a proud Endurance sponsor of this event - Run with us as we help to end the race against hunger in Northern Virginia.
