John Arhancet has over 30 years of experience in material management that includes, but is not limited to, configuration management, procurement, bills of materials, inventory/production control, capacity planning, engineering change notices, and material resource planning working with private sector organizations serving the government and commercial industries.
John is a partner and an integral part of the Kinetek service delivery component as well as a member of its business development team. Through his work experience, John brings to Kinetek many different work environments that have made his diverse background in all areas of manufacturing, material operations, and operation solutions. He specializes in material management software configuration, implementation, training, and best business process re-engineering and has worked extensively in industries such as aerospace, military, non-profit, systems integration, utilities, commercial, military base implementation, and construction. This experience allows John to provide customers with software-based solutions to facilitate streamlined operations to ensure best business practice and for the customer to maximums tools available to perform daily operations at all levels.
Prior to Kinetek, John worked at Dunn Instruments as Director of Operations responsible for, among other things, manufacturing, documentation, procurement, materials, quality assurance, and MRP. From Dunn, John worked as Director of Materials with Star Technologies, where he was responsible for all phases of material management, including production and inventory controls, master scheduling, MRP, and JIT tools. During John's time at Star, inventory value was reduced by over $5 million or (38%), and Inventory turns for "A" Items averaged at 25 turns per year with B & C items averaging ten turns per year. Average lead time dropped by an average of 5 weeks and standard cost of material cost dropped by 18.3%. From there, John worked as the manager of materials and manufacturing for FastComm Communications, where he was responsible for the configuration and implementation of software for MRP, shop floor control, capacity planning, sales orders, and bills of materials. His tenure there was marked by a 50% increase in productivity without any increase in personnel and a 30% reduction in overtime.
Most recently, John held the position of Manager of Materials Consultants for Deltek Systems, Inc. In his role, John was responsible for implementations, resolving client issues, and ensuring all materials management consultants met proper implementation requirements. In his six-plus years with Deltek, John had a 100% success rate in exceptional client satisfaction and implementations. John was able to use his extensive experience in materials management, software configuration, and process improvement to provide his customers with a superior solution using high-end enterprise-level software. John’s extensive experience as both a user and an implementer allows him to give clients valuable insight into how to configure software and how to operate efficiently in their respective markets.
John graduated from Strayer University with a bachelor's degree in Business Management.
