As some of you may or may not be aware, Deltek announced some hot-fixes for Costpoint to assist customers in maintaining compliance in response to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (H.R. 6201). Deltek will be releasing a special regulatory release, according to the below schedule, to ensure compliance with the new act.
The United States Government recently released the Family First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), which went into effect on April 2, 2020. This act provides paid leave and extended Family Medical Leave (FML) benefits for certain public employers and private employers with fewer than 500 employees.
Deltek Costpoint customers have increased support through a fix that will be available on March 30, 2020, for on-premise customers and will be applied to cloud customers over two nights on March 31, 2020 and April 1, 2020.
For Costpoint on-premise clients with less than 500 employees:
- For 7.1.1 On-Premise clients using Sys Jar 060 or lower: File file cp711_ldmelv_003.zip will be available on 03/30/2020
- For 7.1.1 On-Premise clients using M.R. 7.1.2 or 7.1.3: M.R. 7.1.4 will be available on 03/30/2020
- For 7.0.1 clients using Sys Jar 059 or lower: File cp701_patch5132_001.zip will be available on DSM on 03/30/2020
- For 7.0.1 clients: Sys Jar 060 will be available in early May
- Instructions for set up in Costpoint can be found in KB: 100864

One more thing...
In order to continue to get the most out of your ERP system, it is to your benefit that you remain on the most current version of Costpoint. Deltek Costpoint 7.0.1 and Budgeting and Planning 6.1 will be entering Sustaining Support on July 1st, 2020. Additionally, Time and Expense 9.0.1 will enter Sustaining Support on January 1st, 2021. Now, it is the best time to upgrade your system to the latest version of Costpoint and Time & Expense to avoid going unsupported.
The upgrade from Costpoint 7.0.1 is significant, it includes numerous benefits over your old, soon to be unsupported system (support for additional browsers, support for mobile, extensibility, and more.)
Upgrading to T&E 10 will be a major adjustment for all of your employees as all timesheet users are now poised to become Costpoint users. By converging Time & Expense with Costpoint into one, single architecture, the interface becomes more common and consistent, delivering users a seamless experience. IT professionals can additionally now leverage Costpoint extensibility, web services, and create personalized user interfaces for their project teams.
So, are you ready to upgrade? Our recommendation is to ensure you have a plan in place (test plan, training plan, and a deployment plan) to maximize the benefits and reduce risks in rolling out to these new versions.
